What We're Reading

The summer months are the best time to read, with more time on your hands and relaxing beach trips. Just in time for National Book Lover's Day on 8/9, here's a quick list of what we're reading currently! Also check out our previous summer reading list's for more of our favorite books.

The Beach Read - 



The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams

This romantic novel set in the 1950's summer is a hard one to put down. Set on the secretive Winthrop Island, where a long history of tension lies between the wealthy vacation families and the island's Portuguese fisherman, a captivating love story emerges.

For the novel seekers -



Pachinko by Min Jin Lee

Min Jin Lee takes us through four generations of a poor Korean family struggling to overcome the trials set forth by wars and their exile from their beloved homeland. This novel provokes deep emotions and hope for each family member as you read their stories.

Short and Sweet - 

 

Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami

This short book is a collection of different stories by the incredible storyteller himself, Haruki Murakami. You can either read it in one day or set it down and pick it up again throughout the summer. With moments of laughter and love, this book can serve as a nice escape if needed.
